First off I want to say I love my Explorer.. I love driving it.. IT'S JUST A FUN TRUCK.. :^)

Now with that out of the way. I would like some advice on fixing a few problems.. First of all the 4WD isn't working correctly. The system will never engage the front wheels.. I've been looking around and I'm guessing it could be the Auto Locking HUBS on the front are stuck. Is there a good way to figure out exactly what the problem is???

Second is the A/C controllers are no longer working. I saw a message in this forum that said there is a blender door that cracks and gets stuck either all heat or all a/c.. From what the message says it looks like I have to take apart the dash to get to this problem door.. Does anybody know of a good manual that explains step by step how to take the dash board apart?? I've checked all the vac. hoses and they are fine..

Third the driver side door lock will no longer work.. I can tell what the problem is and I'm going to have to replace the actuator but does anybody know the steps to get it out.. I've taken the door panel off but there is only a very small opening to get into the door. Am I missing something??

I have what sounds like a similar driver's door locking problem with my 95 Eddie Bauer. I can lock the door, but i have to be closing is (almost slamming sometimes) AND pressing the remote keypad lock button so that the lock pin drops *just* as the door is closing. I can't use the keyhole to manually unlock the door, as the key just goes around in circles and doesn't feel like it comes in contact with anything inside the keyhole. I would like to get inside the door and see what's wrong, but i don't know how to remove the panel. Can you please tell me what you did to get the door panel off?
