Never mind - I got it to work. It gave me 111 (system pass), 6 second pause, one pulse, then the code 334 twice. I looked it up and it means "DPFE or EVP circuit above closed limit of 0.67 Volts"

The EGR valve could be stuck open, or the EVR solonoid could be leaking vacuum. Either of these would cause the engine to run rough at idle. My suggestion is to get a Haynes manual and go through the tests of the EGR system until you can pinpoint an exact problem
