Ive got a 77 short wheelbase F100 with 351 cleavland.dual fuel
In Aust a lot of Effies run after market Lpg conversions.
either straight gas (Lpg) or dual fuel. increasing range and reducing runninig costs.
lpg being a third of the cost of petrol. I have seen nothing about gas conversions in U S A. in these forums, surely you are interested in fuel savings or cant you get Lpg there(same stuf you use for gas BBQ.)
New here myself and can't speak for anyone else, but for me there's something counter to the whole point of the "pick-up" culture in a big, bulky compressed gas container taking up 1/4 of your available bed space. Plus, many many P-U'ers (especially those with 25 year old PU's) take fairly extensive measures to keep the vehicle as "original" as is possible or practical. Big honkin' LPG tanks also detract from the looks of the truck, which is another big consideration. It absolutely is not just about getting from A to B as economically as possible, otherwise I'd have gotten a 4-banger from Japan. But, like I said, that's just me.

your right tank is a pain in the a... sometimes ,but Im willing to for go
a bit of space for range and economy. A long way between towns here and the 351 is thirsty on straight petrol
I have 2 1979 Ford trucks on propane. They are in my gallery. With the advent of bottle exchange, it will become harder to find a dealer except in rural areas.THe state sticker to pay for state gas tax is $50 in OK I then pay $1.50 /gallon and that includes federal road tax.
