Sounds a lot like my 2004 that I got for 10 grand less 2 weeks ago. Glad I didn't wait, since most of the changes appear to be minor.

One thing I noticed was 5 12V power outlets. Do I have that many in my 2004? I've only got two up front and I haven't looked in the back yet.

If you weren't so busy having fun driving (oh that's a good thing) you would know these things (ha, ha).

Ask your kids... sho sit in the back and plug their "toys" into these outlets. Yes there are five of them and I have used 4 during my current ownership. Never realized how having 5 outlets would be so handy!!!

Dash outlets - Use for cell-phones and radar detector

Middle Seat (on front console) - for TV and Playstation game w/AC convertor)

Third row seat - never used

Cargo area - used for air compressor and electric fishing knife while camping.

The uses are endless - good luck and enjoy!!!

Thanks,

Jeff

So far its been reported that the dash is unchanged, that was on a 2WD. If they didn't spend the money to update the dash I doubt they did to update the suspension.

I can only assume the Excursion is even in production this year because of continued demand from corporate and government agencies. Unless they have a long range plan to keep producing it I dont look for them to spend millions of dollars for assembly line retooling and development. It has become sorta like the Crown Victoria... low public demand for a large rear wheel drive sedan, but high demand from the law enforcement agencies. Once GM dropped the full sized Caprice, Crown Vic demand soared via law enforcement. However the Crown Vic has remained virtually unchanged for years.
