cold air intake system
Has anyone used the cheaper ones found on ebay like this one.......

$60 seems more do able than the $250 for the K&N brand.

I have used a non K&N system but it does have a true K&N filter. After reading about these type systems letting more dirt into the engine plus it now takes in the hot air from the engine compartment, I removed mine. Also, I removed it to have some warranty work done and never put it back on. Volant makes a great system that acyually pulls cold air in but it is somewhat expensive. If you want to buy my system, let me know. Only on the truck for 5 months.

This is what I have on my '99 4.6L, it allows you to use the stock filter "box" but replaces the intake tube. I love mine, it has a nice growl when you punch it. I also have a K&N filter installed as well.
