Well after some 4 wheelin last weekend i am burnin abit of oil. and sem to have sme more valve noise, could i have burnt a valve? the water was deep and i could hear my collector on the exhaust manifold blowing bubbles after i ripped the motor mount i half. wha could it be and do you think it'll last till december?
How long had it been since you changed your oil prior to your off-road trip? Old and black oil doesn't provide very good lubrication for an engine that needs it, especially in severe off-roading conditions. If it's burning oil my guess would be you wore out some piston rings or valve seals.

Reason: spelling
i think that it might just be the seals. i'm going to due some compression tests and see what they say and go from there does this sound like a plan. if their good then i'll lean toward replacing the seals, if not just swap the entire motor.
still burnin. but i was told to change the pcv and hose to the carb. so i did. smoke decreased but stil there. so iwas told to pull the carb and clean the bottomplate and that should keep it from suckin the oil down the intake. does this make any sense? I have i single barrel carb.
