overheating issue

Ok so a few months ago my 85 bronco 2 automatic, started heating up a bit more than usual. It would stay around the midpoint on the gauge. I did some general maintenance things but it didnt help. Then it started going up more to about 1/4 from the edge of normal and higher if i was going up a lot of hills. So i used one of theose radiator cleaning fluids , i replaced the water pump, i put in a new thermostat (195). It made the problem worse, it now goes up to the line at the edge of normal and sits there. So i put in a 180 thermostat and replaced the fan clutch which again seemed to make it worse, it went close to h at idle in my driveway. Any ideas. thanks.

Is your radiator core clean from debris? Bugs and so on? I have seen vehicles with AC that in between the AC radiator and motor radiator to be mostly full off leaves, sticks and bugs. Took alot to clear it out including removing a plastic cover between the two and flushing out with a garden hose.
