Bad water pump ?
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or not. Almost everytime I drive far enough for the temp to get up to normal, you can stand beside the truck and smell anti-freeze. I have looked all around the water pump and haven't been able to find a leak, the overflow bottle stays pretty much at the same level. It is time for an anti-freeze change and flush, but I dont want to do all that if the water pump is about to go out. Truck doesn't run hot, but it is in the upper 90's here during the day. Any advise would be helpful.

Before you go and replace an expensive water pump - I'd look real close and any hoses. It doesn't take much coolant leaking to make it smell. It could be as simple as a stressed, loose, or broken clamp somewhere?? That would be the first things I'd check along with the heater hoses too.
