Fried Turbo?

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what might be causing a major lack of power on my 99 psd. got 140,000 miles, still gets up and goes, but major lag from a dead stop, and doesn't throw me back in the seat anymore like it did when i first installed the superchips microtuner. Hoping I didn't fry the turbo, but it's always a possibility. And for those of you who were smart enough to do so, please don't ask if i bought the guages before installing the programmer, because the answer sounds so stupid... No. Thanks for any help, and if anyone knows where i can buy a new turbo for a reasonable price online it would be appreciated. It's an early 99, so my upgrades are limited. Thanks again

You could check on ebaymotors. I saw a few of them on ebay and some were sold for a ridiculously low price. So check there, you may find what you need.

OK, I won't ask about the gauges.

If you've done damage to your turbo from heat I'd also be worried about the engine. How's the engine itself running?

The engine seems to be fine, it's a little sluggish but only here and there. I don't think it's progressed that far, and I'm trying to avoid that.

The reason I ask is because engine damage usually occurs first before turbo damage.
