97 expedition a/c
My dad said to make sure that the clutch was the correct one. He said there were several clutches for this engine and if it had the wrong clutch face where the vents did not line up with the pulley face, then the clutch would overheat. He thinks that is what happened this time.
Just before the clutch went, the a/c seemed to not be working consistantly. It seemed like it would blow cold air very well in the morning, but in the heat of the day it was barely cool at all. I did notice that turning on the rear air seemed to make both the front and back vents blow slightly cooler.
I bought an interdynamics recharge kit w/ a reusable pressure gauge and it is showing high pressure.
I am not sure if I have one problem or 2. This is my wife's vehicle and I need to fix it before she wants a new one.
Please help,
cw
