Starts and Stops
92 Explorer 4WD,4.0 Auto. It cranks and cuts off. I replaced the pump and filter. Where is the pump relay? I found three relays under the fuses on the right fender apron, but don't know which is which. I scanned it and it says code 543(fuel pump circuit).

Check the inertia switch. This is the switch that cuts off power to the fuel pump in an accident. On my Ranger it's located to the right of the transmission hump. It's not too uncommon for these to go bad.

Read down the posts , there is a post that says 92 Explorer Fuel Pump , In that post I gave instructions on locating the fuel pump relay . Are any other codes present ? Check all the wiring to the fuel pump relay . Is the fuel pump continuing to run after the engine is shut off ?
