heres the story about a month ago i bought a mustang convrt off of ebay, in that month i have drove it 5 times maybe and it just sits. the prevous owner went all out on every thing but the paint and few interior probs. i mean it;s a cool car , I however after having the horor of sports car insurance and not driving the car enough to validate my ownership. My question is should i sell the car for a loss and just wipe my hands or should i spend the money to paint and fix the inter probs.
the answer is really quite simple. Give me your Mustranfg convert, and i'll swap you my 166,000 mile volvo wagon! What a deal! Lower insurance! Yeah, the insurance companies make some cars just not own-able. Pity. I wonder how some guys can afford the insurance to drive some of the toys they own!

Do you want the car? If you do, and you want to fix the problems, fix them. If you can use the car as is and don't care about the problems, drive it and don't fix them.
But, don't fix everything and then sell it, because you will lose more than you already have. If you are not going to drive it and don't want to keep it, sell it now before you spend more on insurance, maintenance, etc.--cut your losses. You're probably going to lose money on it regardless, but try to lose as little as possible. With insurance on sports cars as expensive as it is, you'll recover even a pretty good loss on the sale just by not having to pay insurance.
