I found where its leaking.its on the drivers side underneath the exhaust manifold,in front of where the y connects to the manifold, there is a tube like thing that is broke off and exhaust is streaming out of that, the book doesn't help me,I cant find it there.I know its pretty sketchy info, but does anyone know what part that is?? or what I'm talking about? 1986 bronco2 4x4 if this is the problem it will save me trying to get the exhaust manifolds off and that would be HUGE!!!
I know exactly what tube you are talking about..it bolts into the bottom of the exhaust header. It connects to the front underside of the upper intake on the front. Mine was all cracked up so i took some black silicone sealent and goodped up around where it was cracked..works fine. On my other truck it was broke off so i just plugged it up and gooped it up with black silicone and the truck ran fine too.
I think I found it in the book,it looks like the EGR tube,ya think I could just seal it?I have some metal sealer thats for manifolds maybe that would work!!
yeah, just seal it up..all it does is allow some heat from the exhaust to go up to the upper intake. I've sealed the ones up on two of my trucks. You will never get the bolts out of the exhaust headder without snapping them if they have never been out recently.
