Two questions.......

I have an '04 F350/CrewCab/Shortbox/4X4, how big is my fuel tank?? My '99 V10 F250 Crewcab/Shortbox/4X4 was 139 litres, the tanks should be the same correct?? The reason I'm asking is the computer stated I had 80 km to empty and when I fueled up it took 89 litres.

Does anybody know the differences between Shell regular diesel and the "ULTRA" diesel??? Is the Ultra diesel worth the extra money??

29 gallon tank, but if you fill it all the way up the neck you will get in over 30 gallons. Some members have reported putting in 34 gallons when they were almost completely dry, but documentation will tell you it is a 29 gallon tank, the rest is in the neck.

Wish someone would chime in and help you on that one. I don't run shell fuel in mine, so I'm worthless with that question.

I don't know about the Ultra part but I run Shell Premium, Murphy USA (Walmart), Chevron, Diamond Shamrock, you name it.

I cannot tell any performace difference. Little to no difference in foaming @ fill up. No variance in MPG to speak of. Only real difference seems to be in price.

FYI: I use Power Service @ every fill up @ a rate of .64 oz/gal. fuel.

None of the Shells here in my part of the world have diesel. I am curious about the regular and "Ultra" diesel.

I think the Premium and Ultra are merely for marketing purposes.

I am not aware of varying grades of diesel for on road use with the exception of summer / winter mixes of course.

You might try Shell's web site. Maybe they have some info for you.

I went out and did a quick search on Shell Ultra diesel and looks like it is being introduced in Canada and already in Europe. Supposed to be a low sulphur diesel.
