Ok fellas, 1st post here. I just bought a 2002 F150 6 cyl. with 31,000 miles on it. It's a longbed with a topper and I got it for under 10K. Not a bad deal I'm thinkin.
It was in the 90's here today and pretty humid. I ran the air on the way home from work, (about 40 miles) and when I got home I noticed fluid on the passenger side floor. I couldn't tell if it was antifreeze or water from condensation. I'm headed out to run it some more and do a more thorough investigation. Has anybody run into this before?
Thanks in advance,
Kevin in Central Illinois

Pull back the carpet and see if it is trickling back inside from around the drain tube. This is a common problem and there is a TSB for a fix which you are still under warranty for.
Thanks for the speedy reply John. I'm sure you're right. I have no carpet and can see the water dripping onto the floor. If anybody knows where I can locate a reference to the service bulletin on the web I'd appreciate it. I'm going to start searching now. It would be nice to have something in print to bring into the dealer when I go.
Well I cant find it in TSBs, so it must just be a service message. I need a VIN for that. When I find it Ill post it, but it may be tomorrow when I am able to get to the work computers.
17306 2002-2003 F-150 - A/C CONDENSATE LEAK ON PASSENGER FLOOR
SOME 2002-2003 F-150 VEHICLES MAY EXHIBIT WATER ON PASSENGER'S FLOOR VIA THE A/C PLENUM. TO SERVICE: 1) VERIFY THAT THE WATER LEAK IS CONDENSATE FROM THE A/C PLENUM AND NOT FROM ANOTHER SOURCE. 2) ENSURE THAT A/C PLENUM IS DECKED SQUARELY AGAINST THE BULKHEAD. 3) RUN A BEAD OF CLEAR SILICONE RUBBER (F7AZ-19554-CA/EQUIVALENT) AROUND THE OUTSIDE PERIMETER OF PLENUM SEAL AT THE BULKHEAD, ON ENGINE SIDE OF BULKHEAD. 4) INSTALL RUBBER ELBOW (F3LY-6A614-A) ON THE LOWER PLENUM DRAIN TUBE. 5) ENSURE THE CONDENSATE DEFLECTOR IS STILL IN PLACE ON V8 ENGINES ONLY. 6) VERIFY REPAIR EFFECTIVENESS. **NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL OR EVAPORATOR CASE DURING REPAIR.
EFFECTIVE DATE: 10/28/2003
PS Many thanks for the prayers..
