Hello all, I need some of your expert advise again.
My transmission started to pour out fluid from the bell housing when I pulled into my driveway. (Wife hasn't seen it yet).
It's been having problems changing gears 1 to 2 over the last couple of days, but I thought it just may need a flush.
This happened to me at around 105,000 miles, I had it rebuilt ($1400) and now have 165,000. Is it time for another rebuild or a new truck?
OK, Here is some more info...
I just pulled the codes and got...657
Which i found means...
657 (M) Transmission temperature was excessive - Transmissions
DUH.
Short of taking it down to the tranny shop, is there any thing else I should try to do like getting it flushed first? Or is the seal shot and it has to be pulled?
