Timing failure/bending valves
A question for the group: is it possible that a 360/390 could bend valves in the event of a timing chain failure, assuming the engine has stock parts in it?
Personally I don't think it's possible. Mine didn't, and the chain let go at 4,000 rpm. I pulled the heads to be sure.

Yes, I am not sure if the stock cam and dished pistons will allow the valves to hit but with flat tops and a performance cam it is almost inevitable that you will hit something. Even jumping a tooth could destroy a performance build.
