gear changes
I am thinking of changing the rear end gearing in my bronco to help with towing. I was thinking of going with 4.10 Has anybody done this change and did it help any with more power towing? Thanks Dan

Is it 4x4? Do you have oversize tires on it? If it is 4x4 you will have to change the front gears too otherwise with the hubs locked in your tires will rotate at different speeds. If you have bigger tires on it, changing the gears will definately help when towing. There is a formula to figure what gear ratio you need based on stock tire size compaired to current tire size. Damn if I can remember it though. Fear not someone will be along soon who will know. You may want to post what you current gear ratio is too. However if none of the above applies to you then I guess I have just wasted both our time.
