O2 Sensor ??

'96 Eddie Bauer w/5.8L. Have had the "CHECK ENGINE" lite on for a few weeks. Took it to Advance Auto and hooked up their "device". It indicated that an O2 sensor was needed. But the guy didn't know, and couldn't find out "which" one was bad.
How many are on this Bronco? And is there one on the "passenger bank"?
In other words, which one do I get?

My 89 only has one O2 but from reading these posts, I think that you have 2 sensors. Get a Haynes manual and you can learn how to ohm each one out and hopefully tell you which is bad. I know on my wifes car, Autozone was able to tell me which of the 3 O2 sensors were bad.

Good luck,

A 96 Bronco has 3 sensors. I just changed all of mine. There is one on each side of the Y-pipe (passenger and driver side) and one behind the cat I think. The OBDII code readers should tell you which one needs to be replaced. If you've never replaced any, chances are they'll all be going soon - might as well bite the bullet and buy all three.

That's been one of the head scratchers . . .My Haynes book doesn't say how many there are. The scanner report indicated: "Bank 1 Sensor 2". So thanks a bunch fella's. Probably get under vehicle, do a count, and replace them all. One thing though, my gas mileage went up on this last tank of gas!?

[I]THANK GOD FOR FTE

I just replaced the two front O2 sensores in my 96 351. I bought them at Advance Auto. They are Bosch 15716. Try this http://www.partsamerica.com/SelectPa...xygen%20Sensor
