New Speed grille
i installed the speed grille insert on my xlt and was pretty disapointed. it just didnt look right being chrome with the frameing still being black. its kinda cheesy looking. does anybody know how i can get that black frame to match the grille insert without resorting to taking it to be chromed? i called ford and they say there is nothing i can do.

Well, you can buy an entire front grille (surround & insert) from, say, www.FordPartsNetwork.com (Torrie@ for email). It'll run you between $100 and $200. You'd then swap out the grilles entirely and put your speed grille on OR swap out the "surround" to the chrome. Sometimes, you can find such grilles on ebay but it's rare.
