4 speed manual
I used a floor jack to support the tranny when doing my Mustang 9 times in a year. (cast iron toploader, similar size/weight to yours)
I have to do this soon myself as my rear main is leaking, the tranny is squealing in 1st and 2nd, and it's time to do something or send it down the road.
I'm going to make a cradle to hold it more securely to the floor jack. You can buy a tranny cradle for a floor jack if you wish.
On the Mustang, I was unable to make it go back together putting the bell on the motor then the tranny into the bell. So, I bolted the tranny to the bell and made sure the throwout was all tidy, then using the floor jack, rolled the whole mess onto the back of the motor.
Be careful. Awful hard to catch those trannys if they get away from you.

Bell housing is not that heavy..compared the the tranny..removed my tod w/o a tranny jack took 2 of us to put it back in You want to unbolt the tranny from the bell, pull it out then unbolt the bell from the engine. the clutch fork is no big deal doesn't need to come out to remove the bell housing..once you get the tranny out you unbolt the bell and it just comes off. (you'll have to take starter off) it really wasn't that difficult to do but there was two of us doing the work.
