Converting from 4X2 to 4X4
Here is my thought, tell me if I need to get my head checked 
I have a 92 F150 flare side that I love to death, but would really like to have 4 wheel drive for snow and ice. Is it even feasable to put a solid axle under a truck like this? I was thinking that a Dana 44 would not be too horrible of an install, but I dont know. I am assuming the tranny will have to be changed (Mazda 5 speed) to a 4X unit, and I would have to have a transfer case, along with all the other front end stuff. Is there anything else I am missing? Thanks for the help in advance
PS if anyone has ever done this before and has some "instructions" or photos that would be greatly appreciated

would definately pay to find a full donor truck to bring home. sounds like new trans, transfer case (already pretty $$$$). deadf150 is parting out a 96. doesn't say if its 4x4 or not. might be worth an email if you're close to NY.
