I hope someone can assist. My 1994 Explorer with 130,000 miles started just shutting down at any ol' time. I would tap on the Fuel Pump Relay under the hood in front of battery and it would go again. So I replaced the Fuel Pump Relay in Oct of 2001. It worked great until today 12/18/2001. Now the same thing is happening (engine will just shut down on highway/idle/anywhere)and stay shut down for an hour or two. I tried tapping on the new Fuel Pump relay with no success. In an hour or two...i can go to try to start & I can hear the fuel pump winding up and the truck starts. This is an intermittent problem, but makes for unreliable driving. I have purchased a new Fuel Pump and will install tonight, but is there anything else I should replace??...Would appreciate any assistance.

Fuel Pump was fine.....replaced anyway....
Connectors for Fuel Pump Relay were loose....
tightened connector (all of them) and truck is fine
Also cleaned the MAS & pinging is GONE !!!
