400 carberation

Has any one run into a situation, with a certain cam or what not, where the edlebrock carb wouldn't perform. I mean that you could not get it tuned in with rods and jets and springs. Having to change to a Holley steet avenger or eny other type of carberator.

one stage rich and at higher altitude the primaries are to rich. I went back to 95's and it leans out enough to quit bogging. But I loose the acceleration I had with 98's on normal driving at 3200 feet. I tried on and two sizes leaner rods and they wouln't effect the loading. I have the tried with and without offroad needles and seats. I need a stage with 96's or something. I have a oppertunity to try out a 670 street avenger for free. I am really thinking about it.

Use the manual that came with your Edelbrock to move around in the fuel map. It is not difficult. Using an O2 sniffer helps a lot with tuning.
