power surge ?????
1970 F-100 w/ 360cican anyone tell me why my volt gauge pulses and at the same time the lights on the radio flicker in sync w/ volt gauge. I have already replaced alt., regulator, converted to electric ing.and resistor, new coil, new gauge pod, new distributer, all most done with restoration what is left to replace??????????

i bet you still have the tall mechanical voltage regulator dont you! if you will replace it with the electronic regulator you will take care of the pulseing.

Any bad connection in the charging system can cause this problem. Bad diodes in the alternator can do it also.
