Just picked up my 04 F150 FX4 Supercab. Has the 5.4 in it. Center Console shifter. Black with Charcoal grey trim. Drove it for about 100 miles testing it out.
Very very impressive...super quiet, almost too quiet.
Messed up 1 time already, shut the drivers door with the rear door still open...found out quick that is a big no no.
Otherwise, how could someone complain about this truck?????
I get alot of WIND noise in mine , I think its coming from the front windows where the two doors get together it gets real bad when I go over 65mph and a clunck from the left side front when I hit a bump just a certn way Im gona get it check out ,other than that Its a big improvment over my 92 F150 XLT 4x2 302 ,I LIKE IT !!!
mine seems ultra quiet so far. I just sold my last vehicle, F150 4x2 with the I-6 engine in it. Great engine, gave me 156,000 trouble free miles, but kind of loud.........knocking, idling, etc. This thing makes almost no sound....very impressive.
I know people have been complaining about vibration on this truck, I have none so far, but only about 110 miles on it. I'll let everyone know.
havnt had a bit of trouble with my truck. really quiet and smooth driving down the road. plenty of room and the truck is just so fun to drive. the different throttle took some time to get used to, not like the cable throttle that i had in the past.
