I got the optional 70 AMP one.. so far, it has way more juice. (the piece of paper said it was rated for 85-90 amps @ 2500rpms or something.

It is a pain to find a good alternator.

Personally, I'd do the 3G upgrade to a 130AMP mustang alt if I needed more power.

That's what I was looking fo. I knew I'd seen it somepalce. Happn to know if the 3G came in anything besides the mustang? At $141 I'd rather hit the junkyard. At least then if it craps out I'll have one to turn in for core and only be out 90 instead.

this is just a stab in the dark but i noticed a price difference when it came with an internal regualtor or an external regualtor

I looked for something about a regulator, but neither said a thing. Might just go there and ask to see both, but I'm liking the 3G idea.

it probably does.. try anything ford 94 and newer. perhaps a towncar or something?

if you goto a big yard, they can probably crossreference it for you..
