Why are 6.0L Oil changes so expensive?

Sorry...not what I meant. I change @ every 5,000 miles. Will do so even after I switch to Mobil truck & SUV.

I used to live in Bethel and Stamford and I know what you mean. The reason the price goes up in that area in the winter is demand. #2 Diesel is basically the same thing as home heating oil and a lot of people in that area heat their homes with heating oil.

You guys that live in the commie East and West coasts always get hosed by your government and the enviromental whackos.

By the way, heating oil competes with diesel for refinery time. There is no shortage of oil, just refined products. Those states that ran all the refineries off cause they don't like the way they smell have to pay transportation costs.
I saw a TV special where they stated that there are 37 different formulations for gasoline. Diesel gets anti gel addatives in cold climates. These things cost money. If you live in a place where the enviromental whackos are holding everyone hostage, tough luck. If you would have fought these things harder, maybe you might not have to suffer now.
No Sympathy here.

Thanks i needed that. But i'll think of you in the winter when you need to heat your home with that cheap oil . Yes the west coast does you in on fuel.
