While changing oil last night I noticed water dripping from above the Passenger side Cat. Upon closer inspection, I found that the water was seeping out above the heat shield over the cat. It was saturated between the shield and the bottom of the floor. It was not just a couple drops but amounted to about 1/2 cup, over the time that it took me to change oil.
The A/C has been working OK, my question is, where does the condensate drain from for the front A/C? I could not locate a drain hole, is it supposed to come out thru/around that heat shield? Seems like it would be a rust generator.
I know after driving our 2000 Expy EB, when is sits at a certain angle you can hear the water hitting the Cat, not a good idea cold water on hot metal. I guess that is another better idea by ford.
