Goodbye Pro Comp...HELLO EDGE!!!!!!
Well I did it. I previously was the owner (I'll admit it) of a 6.5" Pro Comp full spring kit, which I never installed due to FORD doing warranty work.....Anyway, After doing some research on this site I could not get rid of that "knot" telling me I bought a P.O.S. kit. I have been dealing with a fab shop in Riverside Ca that installs nothing but Donahoe Racing "EDGE" kits. I should have known what I was getting into, when he grimaced after I told him I bought a PRO CR*P kit. I went back to his shop several times and talked about the edge kits, while I was purchasing other stuff for my truck. I knew after seeing first hand the quality of components, this is THE kit. Example...... Front 12 leaf packs as opposed to 6 leaf packs. Rear 10 leaf packs that sit directly on the perch as opposed to 5 leaf packs that you add original components to and stack blocks!!!!!! A bitch*n aluminum panrod bar and drop bracket that looks indestructible! It was $2,300.00 as opposed to $1,000.00 for the PRO COMP. I know quality when I see it. I was there today and people remove their FABTECH or PRO COMP kits (saw it first hand) because they sag and ride really rough in order to install an EDGE kit. Anyway, I thought I would share this tidbit because I wish I had this information before I spent money (that I got back after fighting with 4 wheel parts for a refund) on a worthless kit. I will post after I install it and give an honest opinion on the ride. Hopefully I didn't **** anyone off, but I just call them as I see them. See ya
