Radiator leak
OK, this isn't really a repair question per say. I just wonder, I own 4 Ford vehicles (2003 Explorer, 1996 Ranger, 1994 Aerostar, 1993 Aerostar). Have any of you that live in inclinate climate experienced the radiator leak problem? What I am asking is this, over the years it seems that the rubber gasket in the radiator always goes bad come spring time (I know this is probably due to expansion and contraction from the climate changes)? I guess what I really want to know is, are there any heavier gaskets that I can use on the 'end caps' of these plastic radiators that come in these? I've tried the pellets, the liquid, etc. for leak stopper, and that stuff is worthless...it just plugs everything up. I highly recommend against it. Any advice...or just keep getting these gaskets replaced?

The only thing you can do is replace the gaskets or replace the radiator with a all brass unit if you can find one. Or you can buy a replacement radiator that has a lifetime warranty so that when it starts to leak you can take it back and get a new one.
