Temperature/compass display.
This is my first visit to this site here goes!!
I own a 1997 Explorer which I bought second hand. (No user manual suppplied) Whilst messing with the temp/compass display I pressed the mode buttom and changed the display to add the word CAL. Now the display seems to be confused to where we are actually faceing?
Anyone with any ideas?

I'll give it a try.
you need to do this in an open area away from tall steel structures, buildings an high voltage lines.
Press and hold the mode controll until CAL appears in the
display.{aprox.8 sec}then release.
Then drive the vehicle slowly 5km/h in circles until the CAL indicator turns off about 2-3 circles.
you may have find out what magnetic zone you are in from a ford dealer or someone else who has a explorer with this function.
