I have an 85 Bronco 351/4bbl with what looks like a C6 tranny. The problem - I was out in the mesa and killed the engine - it would not restart -
the engine will not turn over with the key - I can jump the solenoid and start it.
I went to look at the neutral switch - I was split in two pieces -
I went to disconnect - but the wires are epoxied in - no plug at the switch and none that I can finde leading up the wire.
my question - which wires are the neutral switch wires so I can jumper them out?
I'm not sure what the colors are on your year, but on my '88 C6 there were two red/blue stripe wires running to the neutral switch, which are the wires for the key ignition circuit. I jumped those to bypass mine after it failed. If the colors aren't the same on your year, just look for the two wires that are the same color type and jump them. I think in all there are 5 wires that go to that swtich? Two for the key ignition circuit, and the other three are for the backup lamps. Again, this is on my 88, I dont know if it is the same on your 85.
