I was wondering what kind of log you keep, if any, to keep track of fillups, maintenance, etc.. I've used everything from notebooks to small pocket pads, but never really found one I liked.. I figured it would be easier to keep all receipts & info in one place..
I set up a spreadsheet in excel and enter anything daily when I check into FTE, so far it has worked pretty good, the old ladies F150 is almost 2 years old now and I can go back for every tank of gas, mileage, cost per mile, wash or lube jobs, or accessories we have added. It helps that I have to make ranch business entries every day also but altogether it only takes a few minutes.
Everything goes into a spiral-bound 3x5 notebook. I have done this for every car or truck I have owned since the 1960's. It really does impress potential buyers at resale time.
ive always used a note book i keep in the glovebox to log information. it is a big plus to me when i have traded vehicles. dont really keep receipts. most of whats in my logbook is oil changes.
