Does someone make a "LOCKING" fuel cap for the 2004 6.0L? It would really suck to have someone either siphon or tamper with the diesel and ruin my expensive truck ya know.
If your 04 is like my 03 (large threaded filler inlet), use a Stant #11501 (on a peg card) or #10501 (in a box) Pre-Vent Locking Fuel Cap. As I understand it, the venting occurs slowly after you start to unscrew the cap, not when you turn the key. This is why it is important to click the cap at least three clicks when locking it. This is a quote from stant's site:
"Stant also developed the Prevent cap which allows pressure built up in the fuel tank on hot days to be released gradually when the cap is opened. This prevents fuel from erupting and spraying out on the motorist."

I posted a part number of a cap I got at Auto Zone a couple of weeks ago and now I can't find it. You will find that any Ford type screw on cap will work.

I don't have an "Autozone" near me, but I do have a "Kragen" parts store, and I found a Fram RG-501 seems to fit fine. It has a sliding dust cover over the key opening. Now if I can just get the old teather off the OEM cap and put it on the new cap, I will be real happy!
