I went to buy a canopy back in 1998 shortly after my longbed 76 F100 was painted. I ended up buying an aluminum canopy made as a kit by the canopy store. The reason I couldn't get a nice fiberglass canopy was that the 73-79's have a unique 11 degree (I think thats the number) angle at the back of the cab, and the demand for new canopy's for these older trucks had gotten to where the canopy makers were no longer making them. I'm sure you could probably get a newer canopy but there would be a pie wedge open space between the back of the cab and the front of the canopy. The aluminum frame/skin kits that many canopy sellers make and sell can still be had
