ok i have a 300 inline and i just got to the shore about 200 miles an it has a little sputter when i try to accelerate or just rev the motor. it kinda seems like it is running out of fuel but i have a half a tank. My gess is maybe a bad injector on one of the cylinders. the reason i am asking is cause i do not have the proper tools with me so i am asking for suggestions to eliminate the guess and check process. any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you replaced the fuel filter and done a professional fuel injection cleaning service latel (Connect to Vacuum Hose, Throttle Body, Tank Additive)? Another simple thing would be to check ignition components, vacuum leaks.

If you are talking about a miss check for a vacuum leak first. Main areas to check are:
the throttle body gasket - it is cheap and can be changed easily by pulling the 4 nuts that hold it on, clean surfaces, then reassemble
bad vacuum hose - each line can be checked easily with a vacuum gage and pump
EVR valve - mine leaked vacuum bad anyway, again check with gage and pump
vacuum can - if it is badly rusted it could have a leak
