Sliding rear window

Does anyone know what to use to glue the little black clip back onto the sliding rear window? Glue for the rear view mirror doesn't seem to work. When it first fell off I couldn't find it so I went to Ford to get one. Ford doesn't sell just the clip and the center piece of glass is more expensive then the whole replacement sliding window. Anyway I've found the clip and now I can't figure out what to use to glue it back on.

Maybe some sort of epoxy?

The rear view mirror glue is more of a poxy I think, I would try good ol' fashion super glue. Other than that I am not sure.

A two part mixture of hardener and epoxy.

The rearview mirror mount adhesive kit sold by Permatex contains an instant glue formulation and a cleaner/activator pad. The package says it will not bond plastic to the windshield.
