Supertuner did not adjust my speedometer correctly.
I just installed the Superchips tuner program (87 octane, 325 tires and 4.56 gears) hopping it will fix my speedometer.
While it fixed the RPMs, it still did not correctly set my MPH. It corrected it somewhat, it used to say around 90MPH, but now going with the speed of traffic on freeway I am showing around 80-85 MPH.
I would have checked using my Jeep, but thats also lifted on 33's and that speedometer is off too!
Since RPM dropped to where the speedshop said they will be I am wondering if anyone else had this problem?
I also reset the shifting points in tranny and boy it's FUN! I will go back to stock soon, just wanted to feel that tranny shifting.
My Truck originally came with 3.55 and I regearted to 4.56 (stock gears are 3.55/3.73/4.10)
I thought 325 are same as 35' tires, may be thats where I made the mistake.
Question to those who know. I am for sure going to eventually be adding 4.10's, a cat back system, and a supercharger. Should I go with the preditor, or the superchip?
predator for sure you get custom tunes via the net. and for cat back think Aeroturbine just got one friday and wow puts the 40 series flowmaster that was on my truck for 5 months to SHAME
No its not loud all the time, at idile it has a low rumble no drone. under WOT wide open throtle it sounds like a true V8 the best sounding exhaust ive ever heard and ive heard a few in my 35 yrs and the truck runs cooler and no more pinging with 91 any more.
price instaled $225.00
Very deep rumble, fairly load most of the time, very load when you punch it. The muffler itself is only $200, but it is not available in a do it yourself kit, so you have to pay for the pipes and labor. My total cost was $500.
