Lift Kit Question
only one problem i dont know much about them...
what kind of trouble am i gonna get myself into...
i need some info.....like money wise..what brand...where i can buy...and who can install...and will it end up hurting my truck after a while....like gears or maybe my drivetrain? or anything
i want maximum of 6" lift.....on a 99 F-150 4WD extended cab, shortbed(stepside)
any info about a lift would be great....
TELL ME ALL YOU KNOW

that's a good starting point!
what do you mean by trouble? if you mean going places you shouldn't then yes you will

mosey wise figure about $1300 for the lift and all the accessories you will need! installation will prolly be another $400 or so! remember now this are estimates b/c i have never taken my 99 F150 to a shop ( i don't have one either)
the lift itself will not hurt your truck but when you try to hit The Hammers....you will get some dents, lol. you will need to watch your driveline angles as it will begin to prematurely wear out your u-joints if not done right. you only want gears when you drastically change tire size! if you stick to your stock tires you will have no problem!
good luck getting started

What size tires do you want to run?
1)Electricity can hurt!
2)Work sucks
3)Wheeling is fun
4)neighbors are a pain in the ***...
5)
...damn, this could take a while...let me get a beer and I'll be back.
but see i dont think i want to spend that much money is there any other cheaper qauilty kits out there...
or what about a body lift and how much of one..or should i just stick to the suspension lift?
i am in a budget of about ummmmm......$1000-$1400...
thanks
I'd avoid the body lift if I was you. Your F150 will clear 33x12.50s stock (slight fender trimming on the plastic piece of front fender), and a few cranks of your torsion bars. I'm not sure what you want to run, so thats just a thought.
Ramboss, love the pic of the Case "4x4" you would be hard pressed to beat that thing for offroad-ability
