I installed a Warn 9K electric winch on my F-250 eight years ago. It still works great.
You do need to keep all the electical plug-in connectors well lubricated (grease works fine) to prevent corrosion.
If I had it to do over again, I might pick a higher capacity winch. No real reason for the higher capacity though since the 9K pulls that heavy F-250 around just fine.
