Question side molding removal

I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this thread, but I will go ahead and post it. I have a 78 f-150 reg. cab, longbed and i have the trim that is on the top and bottom on the sides, i was wondering if there was an easy way of removing it before i start on the body work, also is there a good way of putting it back on.

Just went through this.

don't just try to pull it off. There are screws behind it at each end of the long sections and in the middle of the front fender. for the front fender you have to open the door and take a nut off of the inside of the fender. You also have to reach up in the wheel well and remove one right behind the side marker light. The is also one in front of the side marker light. The only way I could get to it was by removing the headlight assembly. The doors are pretty easy with a screw at the front and back. Once you have removed all of the screws/nuts you just need to carfully pop the trim off of the retaining clips. There are special tools for this that look like a bent forked screwdriver but if you are carefull you can use a flat head screwdriver. don't pu too much pressure or you will bend the trim.

I am probably going to buy a whole new set of replacment clips. I saw them advertised here http://broncograveyard.com/products/cat/18/133/25171
