IDM Hard Fault
I took my 99 F350 to dealer today to have an injector test ran on engine. He called later and said he was getting a Hard Fault on the injector drive module and could not go any farther to test injectors until I replace module. Wanted $833 plus $200 labor to replace, I declined! Thing is truck runs fine, no stumbles or low power, just wanted to have injectors checked since truck is getting close to 200,000 miles on it. I have no check engine light on either?? Should'nt a hard fault trigger the light?? What should I do now??? What could cause this code other than a bad IDM? or could it be the IDM? Any advice on what to look for or do would be of great help, Thanks for any advice

I have the same problem except mine is running terrible. Turbo was not spinning (alteast felt like it didn't). The dealership said it was a IDM module and it is going to cost me over $1000 to fix! Anybody by chance have a IDM module lying around they want to sell? Is there an aftermarket alternative?
