302 Oil Pan

Can I convert my 302 from a front sump to a rear? If so, where is the best place to get the parts and what should I look our for as far as compatibility?

Yes, what 302 do you have now and what do you want to put it in? I am assuming you wish to change your pan for engine swap purposes. There is more than one kind of rear sump pan. Need mo' info from you!

It is a 76 302 out of a Lincoln Versailles and I am putting it into a 1950 F-1 with a TCI Mustang II IFS. I am checking in case I have a problem with the front sump pan.

Since you are using a 1976 block that does not have the holes drilled in the block for a rear sump dipstick and tube, you will have to use a 78-80 rear sump pan set up which has a place for a dipstick and tube built in the pan. Oh yeah, get the dipstick and tube that go with it and plug the hole in the '76 timing cover {5/16} dipstick hole. I'm sure the whole set-up {pan, pickup, stick and tube} is available aftermarket from someone!
Any one help out here?
