90/100k Tune up

I called today to get pricing on a tune up on my 2000 Expy(93k miles on it). They want $369.99 plus tax plus $250.00 extra on top of that for the spark plugs. I asked what they did for the $369 and they said thinks along the lines of oil changes and filter changes plus tire rotation and balance...all of which is done regularly on my truck and doesn't need to be done. (fuel filter, air filter (K&N) were changed out about 6000 miles ago)

I know transmission needs to be flushed and coolant flushed.

Can anyone give me a list of things so that I can get a better pricing from them for specific items to be done.

Man they do love to bend you over...... Looks to be pretty easy. Maybe $150 in parts.

90,000 miles service
Change engine oil and replace oil filter

Inspect brake pads/shoes/rotors/drums, brake lines & hoses, and parking brake system

Inspect wheel ends for endplay and noise

Inspect engine cooling system and hoses

Inspect exhaust system and heat shields

Inspect steering linkage, suspension and, if equipped, driveshaft and ball joints

Inspect tires for wear and rotate

Replace engine air filter (not required PZEV Focus)

Replace fuel filter (except Natural Gas)*

Replace cabin air filter, if equipped

Change automatic transmission/transaxle fluid on all vehicles equipped with AX4S,4F50N, 4R100, 4F27E. Inspect automatic transmission fluid level on all other vehicles, if equipped with dipstick. Consult your dealer for your particular requirements.

Replace climate-controlled seat filters (Navigator, Aviator, and LS if equipped)

Additional services for: Light Trucks, Sport
Utilities, and Vans

Inspect and lubricate 4X2 ball joints (except 450/550)

Inspect and lubricate steering linkage (E and F series, Excursion)
100,000 miles
Change engine oil and replace oil filter

Inspect accessory drive belt(s)

Inspect tires for wear. Rotation recommended for optimal tire life.

Replace spark plugs

Change Premium Gold coolant (see exceptions page 34 and record page 48)

Replace PCV valve on all passenger cars and light trucks under 6,000 Gross Vehicle

Sorry for the large print. I cut and pasted the info and it messed up my text settings.

From: All over Texas
Transmission flush, filter and refill ~$100-125
Cooling system flush and refill ~$50
Spark plugs and labor ~$32 & $180 respectively

The most I see paying for these services is $400.

Pretty steep price considering how much "inspecting" and how little "changing/replacing" is done.
