94 ranger problems
I have a 1994 3.0L 4x4 5 spd manual supercab. In the last month or so, I've been driving down the road and suddenly it goes from like 1500 to 3500 regardless of what gear. The accelerator doesn't appear to be sticking and neither does the accelerator cable. I have to keep it in high gear just to keep the rpms down. Shutting it off doesn't help. Adventually it goes back down, but there is no pattern to it. It's not very nice to have to try to stay in 5th gear and keep moving when there's a red light ahead. Hitting the accelerator cable doesn't help either. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help!!!
