Help!! V10 Trouble

I have a 99 crewcab with the triton V10 with auto tranny. After it warms up on the highway, it boggs down like it is starving for fuel or o2 when I kick it into passing gear. If I shut it off and restart it is fine for a while but then does it again. Fuel filter changed and no codes are showing from the computer. Any ideas????

Have you checked the fuel pump? When it shuts down check the pressure at the fuel rail at the bleeder valve and see if you have fuel.

Have you added any mods to the engine?

Thanks for the info Orn

That was the only thing that I could think of that wouldn't show a code with the computer. Just wishfull thinking that it wasn't the fuel pump cause of the replacement price. Wednesday to the shop........... wish I had time to do it myself.

My V10 feels like its heavier on the pedal. I did replace the fuel filter. Whats wrong. Heavy pedal at 65mph, before it was much lighter

Shmokie2, sure sounds like the fuel pump. My truck was doing the same thing as you described. Took it to Ford. The pump was only putting out 12 psi.
I know what you mean about the price, it cost me $679.00

Well I solved my problem. It was my PCV hose and valve that was bad. Replaced it and got my horsepower back.

Shmokie2,

You might want to check if your coils are getting good contact with your plugs. Could be bad contact and maybe one cylinders is getting good contact.
