2002 Explorer Engine Stalling
I recently purchased a 2002 Explorer XLT. Within three weeks of my purchase, I started having problems with my engine. It happend four times in one weekend. Basically, I would be driving down the road, the engine would briefly jump in RPM (about 500 rpm), all the lights on the dash would flash, and the engine would die about 15-30 seconds later. Of course, I lost all power steering; however, my electrical equipment (i.e. radio, lights) continued to work. This happend at speed ranging from about 25 mph up to 65 mph. I took my truck to the shop, but they could not duplicate the problem and said their diagnostic computer reported no codes. They also said they have never heard of this happening.
Has anyone heard of this problem or a fix for it?

I don't own a 2002 explorer but I'm interested in hearing more about a resolution to it if they do find it.
