AMP mounting location
I already posted this on the sound system forum, but I figured I'd also post it here.
I need some help finding a mounting location for a Sony Explod 600 watt amp.
I have a 03 Expedition, and with the folding down seats that also lower after the are folder it cant fit under the seats. The area where the jack is all the way in the rear also has a very shallow area and it cant be mounted there. I had the left side (right next to the back seat, dont know what its called) open but there is no ventilation for the unit to breathe. I was wondering if anyone as installed a big unit like this in a Expy and where they installed it.

I have a 2001 exp and I have a 600 watt kenwood in which I installed underneath my front passenger seat and ran the wires under the carpet. Worked fine. The only small thing is that the handle that moves the seat back and forth hits it a little. other than that it is perfect. I even have the area where I do my adjustments facing the open window facing the door. Sweet

I have 2 Audiobahn Amps mounted to the rear gate. One running 4 Infinity Kappa's and the other 2 JL Audio 10's. Running the wiring was a little tricky but never the less works verry well. The floor airvents were in the way for under the seat mounting in mine.
