Stalls when you put it in reverse. Any idea what this might be? Transmission problem?

You need to pull your computer codes. Probably have a bad sensor somewhere.

Could be either, that's why you want to pull the codes. There is a way to do it with a paperclip, but I'm not sure how. I bought a cheap digital code reader. It could be a throttle position sensor or transmission manual lever position sensor, or even more. Pulling the codes will save you alot of money, rather than guessing which one it is and replacing it. Some auto parts stores will pull your codes for you for free.

Thanks a lot

Will it have codes if the check engine light isn't on?
